A yard sale find makeover DIY

Last summer I found this amazing bookshelf at a yard sale. I instantly knew exactly how I wanted to transform it. Think Hollywood, glamor, old school makeup mirror. The biggest challenge was finding the perfect string of lights, I wanted them to be plastic since the bookshelf is going to used in a kids room and I dont want any glass that can break when the kids play. Here is the finished result, a fun and original bookcase filled with the twins favorite things. I'm so thrilled my vision finally came true!

A DIY Kids birthday Part 1

Finally it was time for my sons first birthday party, atleast his first when had friends come over. I tried to make most of the decorations myself. A fun and somewhat stressful task. My son loves dinosaurs  so we used them as decorations on the table. Of course they also got a little party hat. My son folded the napkins himself. A fun way to include him in the preparations. Instead of a cake we went for an ice cream buffet. Super popular with the kids!   After the ice cream we went out to play. To decarate our backyard we used about 50 colorful balloons.

DIY flowerpot makeover - interior on a budget

How often do you buy new flowerpots? If the answer is often you might want to try a simple diy to make them feel brand new without spending a fortune. It's as simple as using some painters tape and spray paint. I chose to keep the top of the flowerpot white and spraypainted the bottom pink.   Tada the finished result in minutes!   It's as easy as that to remake your flowerpots!

Hacked Ikea dresser and DIY marquee lights budget solutions for kids rooms

Do you remember about a year ago when I posted a how to on my hacked Ikea dresser? Well here it is again! I've also added a DIY marquee light made from a piece of mdf and fairy lights that were left over from last Christmas. It's amazing what you can do with stuff you find around the house when you get creative! I love this look with the pink dresser, Fur Neil Omm design poster, the lovely little sonny angels and of course the stunning  Ferm Living harlequin mint wallpaper.
